01 / Who we are

About this policy

Bass Labs is an independent electronic music events platform based in London. This policy explains what happens to information when you visit basslabs.co.uk, follow an external link or buy a ticket through Resident Advisor.

For questions about this policy, contact Bass Labs through the official Bass Labs links ↗.

02 / What we collect

No direct collection

Bass Labs does not currently provide its own:

  • customer account or checkout;
  • contact form or mailing-list form;
  • payment processing; or
  • a Bass Labs visitor account or customer profile.

We therefore do not directly ask website visitors for their name, address, email address, telephone number or payment details through basslabs.co.uk.

03 / Technical information

Website operation

Like most websites, the hosting provider, WordPress, security systems and enabled third-party services may automatically process technical information. This may include an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time, cookie identifiers, interaction data and security log data.

Essential processing is used for site delivery, reliability, fraud prevention and security. The lawful basis for that essential processing is Bass Labs’ legitimate interest in operating a safe and functional website. Non-essential measurement or advertising technologies are described separately below. Retention is determined by the relevant service provider and the purpose for which the information is processed.

04 / Tickets

Resident Advisor

Event discovery, ticket purchases, waiting lists, approved resale and payment processing are operated by Resident Advisor. When you use a Resident Advisor link or embedded listing, you are interacting with Resident Advisor and its own systems.

Bass Labs does not receive or store your card or bank details. Resident Advisor may provide event organisers with limited booking, guest-list or attendance information where needed to administer an event. Resident Advisor explains its processing in its privacy policy ↗ and cookie policy ↗.

05 / External services

Links and embeds

The site may display or link to content from Resident Advisor, Instagram, Linktree and Google. Those services may receive technical information, use cookies or process information according to their own privacy notices when their content loads or when you follow a link.

Bass Labs does not control third-party websites. Review the privacy and cookie information on the relevant service before submitting information to it.

06 / Google services

Site Kit and AdSense

Bass Labs uses Google Site Kit and has Google AdSense code installed. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, IP addresses, device information and interaction data to deliver and measure services, prevent fraud, limit repeated advertising and, where permitted, personalise advertising.

Google explains its processing in the Google Privacy Policy ↗. You can manage personalised advertising through My Ad Centre ↗.

07 / Cookies and consent

Your choices

The website platform may use cookies that are strictly necessary for security, administration and core functionality. Non-essential cookies or similar technologies may be used by Google, Resident Advisor or other embedded services for measurement, advertising or personalisation.

Where UK law requires consent, the lawful basis is consent. You may reject non-essential cookies or change your choice using the site’s cookie controls. You can also restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect embedded content.

08 / Sharing and transfers

Service providers

Bass Labs does not sell website visitor information. Limited technical data may be processed by website hosting, security, Google, WordPress and platform providers. Ticketing data is processed through Resident Advisor as described above.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where Bass Labs is responsible for a transfer, appropriate safeguards required by UK data-protection law will be used.

09 / Your rights

Your information

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict personal data, object to processing, and request data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise a right relating to information controlled by Bass Labs, use the official contact link below. For ticketing information controlled by Resident Advisor, contact Resident Advisor directly. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office ↗.

10 / Changes

Keeping this accurate

This policy will be reviewed when the website, ticketing arrangements or third-party services change. If Bass Labs later introduces a mailing list, contact form or any other feature that processes personal information, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated before that feature is activated.
